MCofS are running a free training workshop for anyone who would like to volunteer to help run the upcoming South Scotland YCS rounds at Stirling, Glasgow and Dundee.  Topics to be covered include belaying, judging, administration and scoring.  The YCS can't run without volunteers, and this training workshop will bring you up to date with rule changes, help answer any questions you may have regarding procedure or overcome any doubts about your skill levels.  The workshop is running at Ratho from 10 - 12.  No booking required.

MCofS will be sending it out to climbing walls, but if you would like to promote the event at your local school, or on a work's intranet, they are more than happy for us to do so. The more participants the merrier.

Saturday 19th Dec was the Quickdraw Xmas party with a special guest appearance by "You Know Who". Lots of fun was had as can be seen in these pictures.
 

On Saturday 11th Dec the BRYCS Climber of the Month trophy was awarded. The winner for November was Alexandra Blunt, who completed all targets and climbed fantastically all month. Well done Alexandra!

The BMC Open Youth Competition at Awesome Walls in Liverpool on 28th November saw Quickdraw climbers take 4 podium places.

The club swept the board in the girls' Youth B category (14/15 years) with Eleanor Hopkins taking first place, ahead of Jaime Davidson and Rachel Carr. Angus Davidson took 3^rd place in the boys' Youth C category (12/13).

Other results for Quickdraws were Ross Kirkland (4^th Juniors 18/19 years), Alexander Bosi (14^th Youth B), William Bosi (6^th Youth C) and Megan Saunders (13^th Youth C)

Climber of the Month time for October at BRYCS. Simon praised the kids on another fine month and announced a surprise result of joint winners. Brothers Angus and Robert Davidson it seems put in a supreme months climbing and could not be separated. Well done boys! Angus and Robert are pictured with the Trophy.
